Campanula, Soldiers and Sailors, Primroses, Periwinkle, Japonica, Winter Jasmine, Calendula, Geraniums...

Bit unusual isn't it?

Primroses - loads of them, sweet violets, kaffir lilies, winter jasmine, penstemons, the odd rose, one or two rock roses and winter honeysuckle.  Have just picked the last of the tomatoes from the (unheated) greenhouse, and removed the plants although some of them were still flowering.   I hope that winter isn't going to arrive in April!

Over here, where temperatures should be getting down to -20 and the slopes full of skiers, we have nicotiana, cosmos, scabious, roses, cornus blossom, chrysanths, veronica, coreopsis and antirrhinums in flower, with self sown sunflowers and rhubarb growing too.

Can't help thinking we're in for a rough time soon.

We also have rhubarb growing, Tosca, plus the summer lettuces and radishes are still going strong

There's a row of daffodils out near Rye, and I forgot the Bellis we have here, but they are a winter flower...

Fuschias, a geranium, and that hanging basket plant with the little yellow daisy-like flowers.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Does Heliotrope count?

I've just seen a huge patch in flower in Horsmonden!

First daffodil on The Moor in the village, and I've just noticed a Lady Hillingdon rose still out at home...

Our's should be cut down to size next week with temperatures at night -12 and by day -5. All those emerging bugs had better watch out!

Just been out for a bit of fresh air and seen emerging flowers on hellebores, pulmonaria and our red flowering quince (Chaenomeles). The lawn needs a jolly good cut as well!

Popped into the garden for a minute or two today, and noticed the orange and yellow Welsh poppies are coming into flower, together with verbena, snaps and osteospermum in the baskets near the house.  The flowering quince is also in bud and the hellebores are flowering.  The 'Hot Lips' salvias are still in flower, as are the verberna bonariensis.  I just hope we don't get December in April.
