Just ordered 2 different types of this off of the net I've got sash windows any tips please. Can I cover the whole window in one sheet to stop the draughts from the gaps too?

Is this a film that you attach to double sided tape (or similar) and then heat with a hairdryer to "shrink" it to a tight fit? (or something similar :) )

If so I would thing covering the whole thing to kill the draughts was very important - might even be worth sticking some of that foam-on-a-roll in the gaps to start with - ideally you don't want air exchange to the "gap" in the double glazing either.

Yo won't be able to air the room though, and because it has always been leaky you might find that the air quality feels more stale as a result. If there are some windows you can not hermetically seal :) that might be an idea, or you can remove it if & when you find it is a problem.

I read of someone just attaching bubble wrap to the glass in windows in the spare bedroom by just wetting the glass and using that surface tension to hold the bubble wrap in place.  When they had guests during the winter they just pulled it down, and put back up when the guests left.

I used the cling film stuff last winter and went right over the 2 windows, it was very effective at stopping the draughts  ;)
I'm not sure the rooms were really any warmer but being draught-free was certainly a bonus

I've used the film stuff and would recommend it too.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
