I have been volunteered to make heart shaped biscuits for a British Heart foundation sale.
Every time I make shortbread it crumbles and falls apart.
Does anyone have an idiot proof ::) recipe for a decent biscuit that will cut with a cutter and not fall apart when baked. Or point me to one on the web.
Thanks very much

You could try the sugar cookie recipe here. (http://www.joyofbaking.com/ValentinesSugarCookie.html)
or make these (http://www.robinhood.ca/Recipe-details.aspx?rid=2965) gingerbreads into hearts instead of snowflakes.

Make cinnamon biscuits, I usually make them with the grandkids for Christmas, so they take a bit of abuse

or you could make shortbread biscuits, i did that for my local show - i used a simple shortbread finger recipe, put it in the fridge for half an hour, rolled it out, cut it into shape, baked for 10-15 min - job done! oh and the biscuits tasted lovely!
