sultan with seahorse syndrome

Hi RJ, I know nothing about this problem myself, but I googled and this is the answer a lady called Bantamchick put on another website.

If it is 'Seahorse syndrome' then from what I know about it you should try to increase your chick's vitamin E intake, because it helps to reduce the swelling in the brain that causes the symptoms.
I believe crushed up vitamin E tablets (that you can get from a pharmacy) mixed with scrambled egg is a good way of getting the vits into a poorly bird.

I think that crested or domed headed breeds are more at risk to 'seahorse syndrome'/Cerebral hernias because their skulls are not fused properly and therefore their brains are at a greater risk of trauma and infection.
