My New Allotment!!
« on: February 16, 2012, 17:02 »
Hello everyone, iv been a member for a while but iv not posted on here do I thought it was about time I did,  :tongue2:
We're do I start then, maybe by a picture of the forest/plot I was given!

From the bottom looking up to the path!

Looking down to the end, notice the hill at the front and the forest at the bottom and also the weeds inbetweeners lol, am starting to think I was stitched up lol,
Oh well,
So I started clearing some of the dodo off it and from just at the bottom I ended up with a skip full of stuff,
Anyhow my 1st priority was a shed so off I went and raided my workplace for all there pallets and got a nice solid base down!

Am sorry if am boring you lot already haha, before I go any further tho I'd just like to say am new to this and so far alls am concentrating on is the shed, the following pics are my step by step of my shed getting built I will keep updating as I go but my priority is to get somewere secure to keep my tools in I'd just like to say it hasn't cost me a single £ to build the shed!!!

Pic from the inside

Then more from the outside as its going up

Digging out for the decking

Nearly there

Shed complete just got to do the rest of the plot now

Sorry for all the pics but iv impressed myself with this shed and can't wait to get stuck in this year!!

typo in title corrected for search purposes

great start to the plot..
you need somewhere to store everything and keep dry if it rains..

keep up the hard work..you will soon see the benefits..
keep it organic and you will see the difference including taste......

Nice shed ;)
You'll be able to use the width of the pellets on the wall to add insulation!
Snug as a bug :D
It's better to burn out than to fade away !!     ;)

Haha thats great MightyScouse!!  First thing I did when I got my plot.  And its always better to have a bit more room than a standard shed.  With a similar sized roof I can fill a 1000l IBC in a couple of rainy days

Iv been back round today and finished the shed except for a few minor bits still to do :nowink:,
Whilst I was there the Chairman came round to see me and to give me some brilliant news,
The committee have raised money to hire a jcb to give the allotments a bit of a make over, but the best thing is he has told me that they are taking the mound of dodo at the front of my allotment away for me and also taking the top layer of the rest of the plot away for me and if that's not enough they are bringing me some top soil too!!!!!
Am one happy man!
Alls I had to do was clear anythin that I needed off the part that's getting cleared so off I went!
1st thing I done was cleared the mess up.

Then I concentrated on my shed!

No ones getting through that door to my new Generator

Bargain from EBay £20

It's looking good so far, that's not me btw that's a friend that's been helping me out!!!!!
Am sorry again for boring u lol!!!
