After a really hot day 33C  it has now cooled, clouded over and is getting quite gusty - storms are on their way  :)

And we've got storms here too, big ploppy raindrops and thunder, due to continue over the week-end.  I'm saying hip hip hurrah but I'm off to my great niece's wedding tomorrow.... what must they be feeling like!!  The puppy - now 10 months old - has forgotten what rain feels like and is quite bewildered but not at all faized by the thunder.

We have rain  :D more like a short sharp shower, certainly nothing like what was promised but welcome none the less.

There's a stiff breeze too this morning, but it's already sunny and warm, they have forecast rain from 11am to 8pn here today ... We'll see.

A couple of storms overnight and this morning there is rain on and off and warm, gusting winds, the latter not good for leaving greenhouse doors open  ::)  Had about 15mm of rain overnight, so hope it keeps raining for a while longer - much more needed to catch up!

Sun is back out now after a welcome but hardly adequate 2.6mm of rain over the past few hours - more forecast for later.

Maximum temperature forecast to be 18C today - after 30+ over the past few days I might be digging out a woolly jumper!  ::)

The rain turned to sun by mid-morning, 21C now but the wind has got worse with some 35mph gusts.

Apparently it rained during the night.  No rain today, but high winds, which have blown beans down, and geraniums out of their pots.   Mrs Bouquet

Just got back from a short holiday in Devon, and got caught in the most glorious heavy downpour on the M5. My hopes that home had had some of the same were confirmed when I got to the plot tonight to see the ground saturated for the first time in months! More rain this evening, happy days!

I know full well by September I'll probably curse this post as we've no doubt endured 4 weeks of non-stop rain.

We've had 20mm of rain so far and it's set to carry on all day :) It's proper rain but not a downpour so sinking in rather than running off, which is what we need.

Same here today.  Its been raining since early on - not sure how early, but it was before Foggy did his morning 'let me out please' crow and that is usually about 7am.  Now its steadily raining and the ground is drinking it in.
