i put my broad beans plants in there yesterday as i didn't want them to get too cosy in the conservatory, but they will probably get planted out tomorrow anyway

I've started using mine last weekend and we had one frost and everything survived.

I sowed cabbage and caulis today.

I've just got a few early lettuce and rocket sown in pots & trays. Was thinking of starting off a few early peas, but i thought i'd leave it till this cold snap is finished. Everything catches up anyway.
All the other stuff....toms, peppers and Aubergine are on window ledges indoors cos i think it's too cold even in the greenhouse,....unless you have heating in it1
I can't afford that this early. :(
Will only use heater if frost is forcast after the toms etc have gone out there.

Have sown 4 but will only prick out the 3 strongest and will whittle it down to two at planting time. In a warm year that'll be enough for me.....if it's like last year again...
none

From three aubergine plants last year we got 1 big aubergines and two baby ones. I am not bothering again this year, I'd rather grow some more chilis :)

In the greenhouse at the moment I've got some bay trees, chives, a yucca and all those fruit bushes from Aldi (12 of them!)

I started using mine last weekend too.  Got several things started off in there, well covered in plastic.  also got some tomatoes and chillies on a table near the french windows.

Last year my aubergines didn't do very well even though they were in the polytunnel, but the year before I had them outside in pots and they did really well.  I got about 10 abus off each plant, and I had 10 plants!!!!!    :)

Just as of this weekend - cabbages, sweetcorn, tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli & runner beans all under fleece.
Bit early for the beans (a month  ) but a fortnight later than last year's and they carried on til November, so touchwood.
First earlies going in next week, but in compost bags in g/house to start with.
Trying lettuces & loose leaves next week too.
It'll all be mollycoddled anyway, got lots of extra fleece & bubblewrap on standby  :)

Have plans to put all my march seeds out in the greenhouse today, (human) baby allowing.  have got broad beans and leeks already but left the door open and it has had a couple of sharp frosts so time will tell if all is well when I visit my current 'babies' today!  (have been a neglectful mummy and not visited them in about 4 days, bad bad mummy!)
