Title: I miss newspapers....
Post by: robinahood on January 02, 2019, 16:23
Not the content but the other uses! Like cleaning windows, as mulch, in bean trenches, for wrapping broken glass in, making seedling pots from etc. I have taken to collecting a Metro each day on way from work for these purposes. We used to get free local ones through the door but everything's on line now.

I have a friend down the road who has a Sunday paper so I collect these from her when I need, perhaps a neighbour would oblige?

I do have a daily paper, which is rubbish.   Sometimes I think i'll stop having it.   Then I remember all the things I do with it.   My list is just about the same as yours.     regards  Mrs Bouquet

There's a free paper in the local shops and supermarkets here - even worth a quick read and the adverts are useful for local tradesmen (or should that be tradepersons?) before the multitude of uses newspapers have.

The paper boy, 2 doors up, brings me his bag of used newspapers, which I then use on the chooks, fire lighters and paper bricks
