Bought 3 packets of freesias this Spring, planted in pots in shaded part of GH.
Just had one flower come up after 3 months.   
What did I do wrong ??
Can anyone tell me how they grow them ??

did you keep them in the greenhouse all summer??

Yes, but in the shade of the toms. Watered occasionally, but not soaking wet.

i did try them a couple of years ago, simply planted in a tub in the garden, they did flower the first summer but i left them in the pot overwinter and they didn't survive, i would suggest you dig them up and store them overwinter and try again next spring but out in the garden maybe?

It did get pretty hot in the GH, even in the shade  ( 27 - 32° )
Should they be cooler?

I don't think they need to be in the greenhouse, is that what was advised? 

Have you still got the bulbs?  Save them and try again next year

I'll have a dig around in the pots, and see.  What month did yours flower in ?

eerrmmm now you're asking, I have a terrible memory, I think it was early summer, June, maybe July.

Great: they're coming up !
Been sitting there 4+ months.   
Maybe it just wasn't right time to plant.

We once grew freesias under a grow lamp.  They were wonderful.  Instead of the normal tall grassy leaves flopping around they were very compact and flowered their heads off.

I have come to the conclusion that freesias need a LOT of light but not much heat.
