Title: Agapanthus seeds

Has any body tried to grow agapanthus from seeds?
If so what is the best way to go about it?
Bought the OH some to put in a pot in the garden and now after the flowers have died back the seed pods have seeds matureing can I sow them?

Ones I soweda few years back have flowered this season. They do take a long time to reach flowering size. I sowed the seeds inspring in standard seed compost. I kept the seeds in a paper envelope over winter.  You could sow half of them now if you wanted and half in spring. They do not need any great amount of heat to germiante either.

Will they be the same colour as the "parents".
Only have blue in the garden and dont think any of the neighbours have any

In that case yes. They are forms not hybrids.
