Then meet Dinky Dave, a friend's chihuahua pup. We went round to help socialise the pups, and this little chap was a single and cute beyond cut. Now, I don't usually do small dogs, prefer labs and the like, but this six week old is a real charmer.

He said we could have him, but I think he would get squished to easily, and the chooks might think he was a mouse!!!!!!

Very cute! :D I think he'd probably stand up quite well for himself and I don't think the chooks would think he's a mouse for long!

Ssssssshhhhhh, don't say that in OH's hearing!
Have I ever mentioned Dave is 6' 2" and not skinny? Imagine him taking Dinky out with Bonnie and Bella!

Aw what a sweetie. The dog that is
They punch above their weight and are very feisty :)
As I walk about with the dogs I see huge men with very small dogs. I always see a menacing looking hoodie with a shitzu wearing pink blingy collar and lead, and a very pink coat if it's raining :)
I thought I'd never see my old man walking a pug but he does :)

That really is beyond cute :D And I agree, chihuahuas can be extremely feisty if need be so don't let that tiny size fool you. True, hubby might have to 'walk' him in a coat pocket, but that's half the fun and they can be a very dedicated friend.

the kennels where my dogs go to are run by a lady who breeds and shows British Bull Dogs. She recently went and got a chihuahua and guess which dog rules the house? It's certainly not a bulldog

Wheres he gone, I've just got a little red X in a big empty square :(
I love chihuahuas. Is he a smooth coat or a hairy type?
-
smooth coat, wonder why you cant see the photo . Try rebooting your pc and see if it's any better.
-
gorgeous :D :D
-
Can see him now
I WANT THAT PUP :D

He will be short haired but velvety, if that makes any sense, rather than smoothe. And redder than he is now. You should see him playing by himself, he's so cute. The other pups at a week older tend to use him as a tug-toy, so he prefers his own company.(http://www.yoursmiles.org/tsmile/heart/t4517.gif) (http://www.yoursmiles.org/t-heart.php)
Ah well, there are reasons why we can't have a pup at the moment, but Darren says he will not advertise himtill the weekend. Not fair.... :(

What a sweetie

He is so cute - I love this thread - cannot have any pets due to my asthma so looking at other peoples pets.
-
Other people's pets are far easier to look after :D
-
And cheaper to feed. :D

yes but .... surely he won't eat that much! he's very sweet! Any Chihuahuas I've ever met certainly seem to stand up for themselves even if they are wearing pink jumpers :)

Hate to say it, but it's the dangly earrings that trip them up
