Does pelleted poultry manure go out of date?

My neighbour was clearing out her late husbands shed and found 7kg of the stuff which she said was no more than two years old. Now the seal has been broke but i'd say I'ts all there. I can't find a date stamped on it.

Can I still use it? The pellets are brown in colour.
Try my best to be Organic but don't always make it

I have some of these chicken pellets, I put some in the ground in the autumn when I put the patch to 'bed' for the winter, but now I am getting so much advice on here to manure before laying crops, raspberries, potatoes, beans etc. I was under the impression I could not use the pellets for this I had to use rotted manure (like farmyard stuff from B+Q as I don't have any here)
Am I wrong can I use it?

Thanks
Lucy

dont use fresh manure for ya roots but its ok to use pelleted chuckmuck  as its unlike farmyard manure in that it is soluble  in the soil  farm yard manure stays in a clump and forks the roots on contact with a high feed hit .us e the pellerts and be happy

Great thanks Muntjac, I always thought it was too acidic to use direct!
I am thrilled I will shove it everywhere now then as I prepare the beds and pots, and move out my dead raspberries and move tayberries as directed ! :tongue2:
Loving it here!!
