Heraldic crest ID.
« on: November 28, 2017, 15:42 »
I have a very decorative little silver (cigarette?) box which has four little legs, a hinged lid and a wooden ebonised  handle. Inside the lid are stamped two sets of numbers: "52 21" and on the base someone has etched "WRS 7095 9090" and I'm fairly certain it was designed for ladies to offer around to their smoking friends, and engraved on the lid is what appears to be some sort of an heraldic crest. Anyone knowledgeable on here who can direct me to a website to identify to whom it belonged?
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

I think the only sure way would be via the college of arms, which I think would be expensive.
