Dug my first homeguard today
Bit disappointed only 8 potatoes not a bad size tho
Tasted good wiv some ham and butter tho  ;)

tipped a pot out tonight loads in there but all a little bit bigger than a 2 pence piece (bomber marble)

I scratched away at some dirt today by one of my Orlas that had finished flowering and came up with some nice sized new potatoes!  I can't believe how excited I am!  :D

Dug up one of my plants this week-end (foremost earlies) and eat them. Great! ;)

I'm now thinking of digging the remaining 9 plants. How long will they keep and how best to store? Probably not looking to store for long as I will be eating them all pretty soon!  :lol:

The best place to store them is in the ground.

Chin up G4MK, they will grow soon :-).

That was nearly a kilo from 4 plants. I think they are arran pilot but I got the labels mixed up so they could be pentland javelin   ::)

Just got to persuade my daughter that she does like to eat them now!
