Good afternoon everyone,  a novel use of plastic drinking straws (now they are banned)!  Collect enough together, firmly stuff them in a large tube place in the end of the vacuum hose.

You can now clear all the loose soil from small bulbs without them dissapearing up the hose.  I use the device to clear sawdust and detritus from boxes of nuts, bolts etc in the shed.

Remember that if you are disabled, you are still allowed to ask for single use straws. They are still available online in catering boxes too for online purchase.

Hello good idea for the straws I'll try it when I'm cleaning the van out I can keep the 5 pence pieces,plastic drinking straws and cups and plastic milk bottles were  banned from my local church till it wad found out that the paper  cups and straws couldnt be recycled only incinerated also the terms pac milk bottles have to be incinerated or go into a special bin at the tip so that they can be stripped out of their component parts  jezza
