Poundland have all their usual garden stuff in now. I picked up some shallots and red onions and a couple of large redcurrants.

thanks for the heads-up. :)

I was having a shifty look around there last week; I'm going to have to empty the money box...
Wilkinsons are also fully stocked.

Three local poundland stores are already sold out of red onions and shallots. Got a pack of 300g Stuttgarter onions as they looked ok. Their Pentland Javelin seed potatoes looked really small so I passed on them.
Went to Wilko's and got the following:
Red Sun shallots - 500g net - £2 - 28 bulbs
Golden gourmet shallots - 500g net - £2 - 32 bulbs
Red onion sets -250g net - £1.50 - 80 bulbs
Pentland javelin seed potatoes - 2kg - £2.75 - 34 potatoes
Might have paid a bit more than in Poundland but at least I've got what I wanted and the Wilko seed potatoes deffo looked better.

Their potato fertiliser worked well for me last year (well I think it did, seemed to get a good yield!), so I will get some again this year.
I often use their BFB as well, I'm sure you can get it cheaper if you want to buy large quantities but if you only need a little bit and/or don't have a large storage area it works out well.
Planning a trip for next week sometime!

Went Poundland today and picked up 2 bags of onion sets and a bag of shallots for my mums garden. Also bought some potato fertiliser to see how good that might be.

Picked up two packs of potato fertilizer and some liquid plant food.
