i found 2 eggs today from landlords chooks in the greenhouse so as he is not here i have taken them

i put a light on them and i think the are fertile but i have no way to hatch them dont have the inncy yet

here is a pic

Oh yes you have :lol: Depending on whether you are male or female, but I well remember a lady coming onto one of the morning TV programmes and she'd quite literally walked around for 21 days with an egg stuffed down her bra. :shock:

Thank God that chicks don't breast feed. :lol:

PS. That black ring is the air sack at the top of the egg and it's not an indication as to whether or not its fertile.

oh my book says thats a sign that it is  :shock:  i just checked some eggs we have from the supermarket and they dont have the ring

Its not every egg that shows that ring even when its about to hatch. I wish it was that easy though. :lol:

If you candle eggs, you can actually see a developing chick inside the egg but thats by using a box and a strongish light shining through it. It really is not possible to pick up an egg and say whether or not its fertile.

iv made a incubator out of a butter pot and a 60 watt light bulb

iv put the 2 eggs in and some water in a pot lol we will see what happens
