I have just introduced two cochins to my two Marans, Ruby, one of the Marans has been giving them a hard time for the past 2 days. It has goot to the point that the Cochins are stayingin the roosting bit of the house and as far as i can see will not come down to eat and drink. Whenever i push them outside they get a good going over from Ruby. I thought she would have settled down by now. What can i do about this??? I am worried they will either starve to death or be damaged by Ruby??

Sad to hear about the harrassment of your new hens. Try taking them out and keeping them seperated by wire netting so that they can see each other but not actually get to each other! Then each evening, at roosting time, put them back to roost together. Eventually they will forget their differences and behave like 1 flock but it may take time. Alternatively, remove the bullying hen for a while till the new ones settle, then replace her as the new one! Might work.
