Water lily invasion

You realise with a view like that, we'll have to hate now ! 

You've chosen well. I'd put up with the lillies and just sit quoffing wine on a lounger. But I suppose real life has to interfere with the dream sooner or later.

Yes, thats what I thought, even if its just to contain them a bit while finding solution. At least we'd have a bit more open water.

Funny, they had a bit on water-lilies in Gardeners World last night. Said not to give them too rich a soil. That may be the problem: mine are planted directly in the bottom, and what with the duck-poo, the fish-poo and the frogs, theyre having a Sunday roast 3 times a day  :blink:

On the (rare) occasions when we do some sitting-and-sipping, theres always the nagging thought that we should be doing something in the rest of the garden 
Must learn to chill out .

Judging by what I've managed to pull up, I think that chronic constipation would be a problem long before the pond was cleared 
And boiled fence posts would probably taste better !
