Confused bulbs?
« on: September 30, 2011, 19:40 »
I planted some flower bulbs last week at the allotment. A couple of types of tulip, some russian snowdrops, crocuses.

This week there's a green shoot poking through the soil. I'm guessing a daffodil if I remember what I put there.

Have I planted them at the wrong time? (the packets suggested Oct, before the first frost)
I planted them after the weather forecast said frost soon, before this random heat wave!

If I just leave it, will I still get flowers in spring?  ???

Yes, you will get flowers in the spring.... the shoot will halt it's growth when the winter arrives  :)

Oh good. Thank you!
I was worried I'd bodged up my pretty flower display before it'd even started!
