150 sq yrds - £13.50 including mains water. Can't even get one decent meal in a restaurant for that

Wow! they are greedy swines, I hope you get gold plated tools thrown in with that and hot 'n' cold running water. My plot is full size what ever that means in rods couldn't tell ya, but that costs £21 per annum including my own tap on my site.

My plot is self managed, 1/2 plot: 21m x 6m. £1.50 a year! A full plot is £3.

Still, I had to clear more weeds than I'd like to mention.... But it is proving very worthwhile.

Mine's about 46 x 16 foot and it's £10.50 per year, but with no water on site.

It's not rented from the council though - it's from a local estate that I think historically owned one of the mills in the town ...... anyway, not to bore folks but just to suggest that it might be worth investigating similar types of rentals in other areas if they're cheaper than the council allotments?
