I was talking to a group of guys in the Hort Industry last night, they were of the opinion that bark chips will become unobtainable within 3 years!!  Apparently they are now being burnt wholesale by Power Stations and also used in biofuels.

Yes, I have heard this too.  The power stations etc pay over twice the going gardening rate apparently.
