After five years wondering what was causing the holes in my sweet peppers and blaming caterpillers or other insects, I finally have closure.   Opening what was a fine specimen of a fruit with a hole in, I discovered three slugs.  They had climbed up the plants, ignored the leaves and munched on the fruits.  Now I know, I can stop the blighters in future.  Ugh.  Went straight into the bin as they had messed the inside up something horrible.
