Title: Rosa Cat update
Post by: raeburg on August 24, 2009, 13:37
Rosa's latest escapade has made me laugh, though not to her face.  I ran a bath a couple of nights ago and had to leave it to answer the phone.  Rosa chased a moth into the bathroom and pounced on it - straight into a full bath, bubbles and all.  I thought the house was falling down from the crashing the followed.  I then risked life and limb groveling into the back of the wardrobe o get her out to dry her. It's never dull here....

I never said she wasn't a silly kit  :D

How grumpy was she with you for it, it was of course your fault for havinf the bath water in the way of her moth - Niblet blames me whenever she falls in the bath (worryingly she has done it a few times and never learnt  ???)  Shame you didn't get a drowned kitty photo of her  :tongue2:

One of my cats jumped in with me, chasing my toes under water. She was very put out, but not as much as me in the bath with an annoyed cat.

It's all those claws and panicked thrashing and my naked bits that worry me when it has happened to me!

We had a half burmese cat who used to come and sit on me in the bath!  He slipped in a few times but it never really bothered him.  It did bother me when he dropped a live (just) starling in the bath with me and then jumped in after it.  Apparantley my screams were audible 2 floors up.  It took a long time to forgive him, especiially as I had to go down the garden in my dressing gown with a mauled and half drowned starling.

Everytime Rosa forgives me for some slight (being taken to the vets etc) something else happens - such as the bath incident.  She can be a real clumsy kitten, although watching her play air hockey with a peice of dried food on a wooden floor is fantastic.  Also the noise that she makes shoulder charging the catflap...

She fits in just fine round here (see demented chicken story in chicken chat)

You'll never convince a cat that it wasn't your fault   ::)

When i was heavily pregnant with our 1st born, my Mollie cat used to come into the bathroom whilst i was in the bath and standing on her back leg would PLAY with the bubbles  and the amount of times she nearly jumped in when i wiggled my fingers under the bubbles,

I love the way they can seem to turn and jump back out without hardly getting their feet wet :)
Always amazes me how quick their reflexes are, they sure don't seem to hit the bottom before they come back out again :D

OK I now know she is the ditsiest cat to ever walk the earth.  Have you ever seen a cat watching fireworks in the night sky and chittering at them like they do birds?  I have....

One of mine tried to stalk a helicopter once - creeping down the backyard wall chattering. I did wonder what would have happened if she'd caught it. I'd have had to ring up the Navy and ask them to come and fetch it.
