Title: Name that rotovator or Belt config or clucth or not to clutch
Post by: TimGuyUK on May 30, 2017, 22:09
So I picked up an old skool rotovator for 40quid of ebay. Briggs 3.5 engine. Reported starting for 30 seconds and then races and dies.

Turns out it was the long pickup pipe that was proper blocked. Changed the fuel diaphragm  at the same time (Dam this carb is clever, I spent hours reading about it, diaphragm and upper fuel chambers, very clever)

Anyhow I got it going. I'm pretty sure the old boy that that it before me must have ran the blades always engaged. The clutch cable is long past its best.

It came with the belt came off so I don't really even know how the clutch went together. Ive enclosed a picture of what I think is how the belt goes, right do you think?

The belt will most likely expire soon. Much more than goto a partsco company and try and match the belt I'm abit at a loss.

Anyone recognise the make of the rovtovator? Its nothing that I can find searching.
