In the past I've used and broke those 2 stroke strimmers that cost about £80.

I've got my eye on a Honda UMK 425 UE 25cc Brushcutter

The rrp is £339!! but with a bit a seraching on t'interweb the price comes down to about £240 inc vat, delivery, the brushcutter attachement and a 5 year domestic (1 yr professional) warranty.

Has anybody used any of the honda 4 stroke strimmers/brushcutters and what do ya think? I take it the engine is v.reliable? any thoughts gratefully received.

i have UMK model  4 stroke strimmer   ,bought brand new about 8 yrs ago. brilliant machines, i change the plug and the oil every yr, the thing starts first time. ps i use it about  5hrs a week constant. £240 if you shop around, good dealer back up as well. pps pretty quiet 4 a powerfull machine.

Honda are GOOD I am sure you will be pleased. Rabtrack do a good strimmer you should do a surch before parting with cash

Thanks all, the cheapest new and with warranty I've found is £235, however there is one on e-bay apparently brand new (£150) but no warranty as its come from a job lot at machinery place thats closed down, erm decisions,decisions!! The rabtrac stuff is a good price but its gonna be a fourstroke this time.
