sunflowers
« on: August 25, 2021, 10:45 »
my wife's took quite a fancy to growing sunflowers next season so I'm trying two varieties next season for cut flowers Sonja and Valentine we usually grow our sunflowers for the garden in pots then plant out but it seems from reading the cultural guide you sow cut flower varieties direct into the ground in the flowering position?

as this is the first time we have decided to have a go at growing sun flowers for cutting if anyone has any advise on this topic it would be most appreciated to log as a guide for sowings next season RW

I have slugs which always eat things sowed direct ... no matter what the guides say!
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
