I want to plant bamboo around the garden of my house, but I could not decide which type of bamboo to plant for bamboo fencing. What I want is that it provides privacy around my house and also creates a beautiful image.

What would you advise me on this?

The main ones in the UK that are used are Phyllostachys area or nigra, which are tall and have gold or black stems, depending on which type you choose.  They are tall, clump forming and don't tend to send runners off across your garden and become invasive. In exposed locations they can get a bit ragged over the winter, but leaf back up the following spring.

Offering some advice as I have bamboo that has invaded my back garden from the neighbor next door:

Look around for the least invasive bamboo that you can find.  In my opinion, it is all invasive to a degree, but some varieties might be less so.  Search for varieties that might be available to you, but also get advice from the Bamboo Society of Great Britain:    https://www.bamboo-society.org.uk/

Clubs are an excellent source of information on specific types of plants.  I'm sure someone at the BSGB would be happy to answer queries you may have about particular plants you are considering purchasing.  Also, there are many online forums for growers of certain types of plants.  I belong to a membership forum for orchid growers (as well as allotment-garden.org).
