If it has got black patches in the middle when it is fully open, it's Ladybird an annual variety, which readily seeds itself around.

Yes but you need to let the pod dry & ripen the seeds, then watch carefully & harvest the pod with a stem & hang it upside down in a paper bag to catch the seeds
