Title: Climber recommendation
Post by: AmandaLouise on June 02, 2012, 22:01
Hi there

can anyone recommend a climber that will flower June onwards, I have a montana clemetis but think because of my husbands happy hacking one Autumn day, a few years ago it has never come back like it used to.  So would like to start again with a trusty recommendation that I will look after.

Many Thanks
Amanda

What sort of aspect will the support have (NESW-facing)?  And what type of support is it (wall, tree, trellis, etc.)?

It currently has a montana clematis.  I think its north facing, and the soil isnt brilliant, it can cope with lavendar I think its acid soil.  And it is to put up a trellis on a wall.

thanks

Hi

There are Pyracantha that will grow tall enough 12ft small white flowers
in June red or orange berries in the Autumn good for bees and birds semi
evergreen about 6 varieties or of course some of the cotoneasters.

Hope that helps
