Title: bareroot strawberry plants have arrived today
Post by: mjg000 on January 24, 2024, 14:35
Wednesday, 24th January
18 bareroot strawberry plants have arrived today and I have left them in their bundles and heeled them into a black bucket full of last years potting compost for now. Should I leave them inside or out? they will go out on the plot later but should I aim to plant them outside straight away or wait for more clement weather?

Hi,
I would wait until the weather improves and soil is a bit warmer. If you have a cold frame or greenhouse would put them in there or a sheltered area outside.
