Title: Importing seeds - info required..
Post by: gavinjconway on October 04, 2012, 15:12
Hi All - a few weeks ago when I did a page about importing seeds from Africa ... one of you out there posted a link to a DEFRA pdf page about being able to get seeds sent to teh UK as long as it was not more than 5 packets at a time etc...

Please can you let me have it... The pages were taken off the thread as they were actually irrelevant to my info page..

Trillium tells me there are no problems.

I've sent a few bits and bobs to her.

You can send small quantities of seeds to Canada; it's the large packets that the Ag dept has a problem with, especially veg seeds and anything they deem pernicious. Check Agriculture Canada site to see what they consider unacceptable to send. No bulbs, corms or live tissue items can be sent without phyto inspections and certificates.
