I don't have a chicktec, but I do know somethings about them:
it is a manual turn incubator with thermometer included, but no hygrometer (humidity regulator).
I found them on this website, and they say give them a call if you have any questions:

hope this helps, even if only a little bit!

As it was given to me  with no instructions.  the person I got it off said it was easy to use! put water in the bottom switch it on and check the thermostat is up to temperature before you put the eggs in.

Thought Id better give it a try before I put any eggs in.  So when I switched it on and checked the thermostat everything seemed ok  then it started to flash on and off and Im sure its not supposed to do that!

The person I got it off has moved so I cant ask him either.

yes, apparently my brinsea flashes on and off when it is doing well and maintaining a constant correct temperature.  but if you take the lid off to candle the eggs or something the light stays on constantly until it reaches the temperature again :)

The incubator has two rings to put water in an inner and outer - do i fill both or just one and which one?

sorry for all the questions!

I think it is one for during the first 18-19 days topped up as necessary, and in the hatching period fill them both up as they need the increased humidity  ;)
