Holes in tomatoes

I have found small holes about the size of a matchstick on some of my tomatoes and was wondering what is eating them.

It may be the tomato moth caterpillar damage

I've had a few like that. I reckon it's tiny little slugs that are the culprit.

I've had this problem on around half of my tomato plants. I wasn't sure what they were at first, but found I had a mini infestation of caterpillars eating their way through the leaves and fruit. In the end I picked all my tomatoes (green and red) just so I had any crop at all.

i had a problem with massive caterpillars, little bu**ers.

they seem to eat a little bit of a lot of fruits, but never seen a fruit been anywhere close to quarter eaten.

the tell tale for me was droppings on the leaves, looks a bit like greener mouse droppings.
