I love the marketing photos of plastic coops on bowling green lawns with happy hens pottering about (you know the ones). My back garden looks like the Somme.  I wouldn't have it any other way

I'm a very keen gardener, so we have a strict division of land.  I have my part of the garden, a lush and green paradise, and the girls have their part of the garden, a barren dust bath! That way we're all happy!
