Title: Bedding down
Post by: Liz on October 08, 2006, 13:01
What is the best way to put fushias and geraniums to bed for the winter please. Do I need to cut them right down or leave them till next year to do that or not cut them down at all. I usually forget about them until the frost has got them and its too late.

Cut them back and keep them out of the wind. I've been amazed how plants have regenerated after a cold winter. Spraying them with seaweed fertiliser in the spring seems to help to get them going.
