huauzontle new crop very impressed so far

They germinated easily with no heat and havn't been attacked by slugs pigeons or rape beatle. the plants aren't very big yet so i've only eaten a few leaves raw  a lovely crunch and a light refreshing taste.

its the Chenopodium family. looks a bit like brocoli. the mexicans fry the flowers. the leaves are sort of oak shaped.

I'm trying this as well Rachel  :)  Mine is still in the greenhouse having just been potted on but is growing fast.
