Yes you will. The stems get heavy, as the beans in the pods mature, and they can break.

You can put the canes in place when the plants are still quite small. If you don't secure them too tightly you can adjust the fastenings as the plants grow taller.

For what it's worth, in my experience, The Sutton is stouter than other broad beans, and doesn't need staking.
