Although the weather is still dodgy, I notice that first thing in the morning, the birds are chirping and cheeping, a sure sign that spring is on the way! Why am I excited about this, because in the spring we will be increasing our flock of babies and getting a new cockerel. By this time, our new run will be complete,so our babies will be safe and sound, although the three girlies we have at the moment will not like being locked in again!
Ive already thought of a name, he will be called Percy. He may be difficult to find however, as OH wants him to be a light sussex.
Im hoping to get another 5 or 6 girls, so I'd better start thinking up some names for them too!
Plus I will be getting 2 dwarf billy goats too. They have to be dwarf so that I can take them for walks. We have plenty of land with loads of bushes. Ive decided that one of the boys will be called Clive. Not convinced about the second name though.
