hello :-)
i'm a newbie to these forums, well, a one-week newbie anyway, so hello to you all :-)
i live in brighton and'm forever on the hunt to reduce my food and livin costs.
i'm vegan, and usually on the lookout for cheaper nuts and seeds and tofu and stuff like that which are usually dead dear, and its always to good to find cheaper-than-usual sources.
so i'll try to keep any that i find posted up on here :-)

aldi on london road has pretty cheap walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts at between one fifty and two quid (the higher price for the walnuts) for a 200g bag.
and asda at the marina have two types of silken tofu that they've started sellin at one pound per 350g block, which is a great price.
its not the kind you could use in stirfrys or whatever though, its the soft kind that you'd use for desserts and dips and soups.
i've stocked up on it!

I hate tofu but love nuts so I assume all aldis will stock them at this price, thanks
