The storm was dramatic  and provided a useful amount of rain.  It was still quite humid overnight.  Sun trying to burn through the cloud and still a bit sticky.

It was raining when I left work last night at around 9.30ish and had rained quite a lot judging by all the puddles.  I am a bit insulated from it all in the shop, so had not noticed 

The soil was still damp in the garden this morning and it is drizzling on and off today.  Welcome relief for plot and garden plants I think

No rain at all here so far in September - last rain of any significance was 22nd August, and that was only 5mm. 

Looking at the rain radar, we'll be lucky if we get even a light shower today, which is currently bright, warm and a muggy 22C.

We have rain! We got a few unforecast showers last night and now we're getting another good soaking. No sign of the forecast thunderstorms though.

Yesterday evening we only had two distant rumbles of thunder and a short shower.  Today started out foggy but  has cleared away to leave a dull sort of day which so far hasn't produced any rain.

Just as I thought, the weatherpersons predict thunder, lightning, frogs and fishes.  We got about ten minutes of iffy rain and no dramatics.  As I said, it is North Wiltshire.

A reasonable amount of rain late evening and over night. It's grey and very muggy this morning.

Drizzle first thing then about 11 am it turned into a nice day.  Light breeze and some warm sunshine.

I wasn't sure where to put this, but it is weather, and may be of interest.

Hurricane Larry is forecast to bring feet of snow and possibly hurricane-force wind to the east coast of Greenland:

If I were in the UK, I'd be monitoring where that storm is headed next. Most likely impact would be more wind, rain, and surf along the coast, though not at hurricane intensity.
