I am just wondering whether old tea leaves / coffee grounds are good for the garden.

I assume teabags would need emptied first.

Maybe it is worth putting on the compost heap, then with the variety of other natural leaves / peelings it could break down and then be more useful

They all go in my compost bin, some teabags break down some don't, apparently - but I rarely find any in my compost. If I do I just rake them off when I spread the compost.

Some T.bags are made from natural fabric that will break down very quickly, others will be man-made and not so easy.    Coffee grounds I use directly onto the garden and smell is lovely !  Mrs Bouquet
