Title: Carnation

Iv'e got a couple of cuttings of carnation taken from a bunch of flowers, they have tiny roots on shall i put them in a pot for house or greenhouse or can i plant them outside  ????

Pot them up for the greenhouse. In my experience the florist carnations are not very hardy as they were bred for all year round glasshouse growing.

You could plant them out later in the year and just take the chance that they might not make it, sometimes you are lucky :)

Thanks for help i'll put them in greenhouse today, think i'll keep them in pot on patio through summer into greenhouse in winter, best of both worlds  :D didn't know you could take cuttings from a bunch of flowers so just pleased i got some  :D :D

It's great isn't it!
Myrtle, the evergreen leaves with little white pompom flowers (often in bridal bouquets) also roots easily, I've found :)

Do carnation grow true to the parent, i mean length wise ??

Yes large flowered carnations are a lot more spindly than garden pinks and will probably need stakes for the flower stems.
Mind you a lot of what the they sell in bunches are the small flowered kind and these are a bit more self supporting. Good luck with them :)
