What a mix of colours and sizes you have there
-
arh congratulations you must be very excited, wots in the really small white eggs nickyx
-
Well I now have 2 Marans, an araucana and a mystery chick (they mystery chick came out of an olive/gray shell, and have no idea what breed it's from!)
The little white eggs are lemon citrus sabelpoots
-
I have lemon millefleur sablepoots - 2 here in my office (receiving treatment) and 4 chicks at Grannie Annies in a brooder box. They are just so cute with their long feathered feet :D
-
i take it the maran eggs are the lovely deep chocolate colour , beautiful eggs. nickyx

Yes. I'm really pleased with the colour of the Marans eggs - sometimes they can be so washed out.
Now all I have to hope for is that the chicks are girls LOL!
-
Any more photos? x

Wonderful :D Can't wait for more photos :D

One more fluffet hatched, and 2 more pipping tonight :)
I had to move the hatched chicks to a brooder as they were really kicking othe other eggs around... fortunately the humidity was back to normal in less than 2 minutes.

So the black shicks are the Marans, one of the yellow ones is an Araucana, the other two are mystery... I thought the other yellow one might have been a Favve, but he has no muffing or bearding at all... And the browny chick is a complete mystery!

-
Beautiful. :)
-
Gorgeous. :)
-
come on Casey any more hatched I want to see your baby poots
-
It's not looking good for the rest of them :(
The two that pipped last night suffocated as they started zipping at the bottom of the shell, not the top (I think they got rolled around when the other chicks were in the incy).
I have one poot pipping right now, but I'm not counting my chickens (lol!) till Sunday (that'll be day 24).
I then have a week to disinfect and sterilise before the next lot go in 8)

fingers crossed for the poot, I never saw mine hatch as they were in Grannie Annies incubator, but Brian said he sat and watched them hatch and was amazed how they came out of such a little shell with their big hairy feet
