Totally gutted

Popped to the lottie this morning before work as I hadn't been for a few days.
I took off the fleece covering my peas and to my disbelief something has munched away at half the crop... I am guessing it is slugs? So I am going to buy the most powerful slug pellets I can find to nuke the *...

gutted.... on a plus note my rocket spuds are coming up already and onions are starting well... still no sign of the carrots that were sown yet..

Went down the garden to let the chooks out this morning and there was a huge slug on my peas munching away. Salted him !  But I know there will be more so if you find something effective, please let me know. I hate them with a passion !!

I use oyster grit round my veg or cheaper option is a sharp grit or crushed shell, they hate it and also you have chickens let them do the work for you, if the plants are established the minor chicken damage is worth the slug eating they will do plus they will fertilise it at the same time.

I bought some slug repellent called Slug Off from Aldi which is 100% natural and suitable for organic gardening.

I put it all round my growing veg, and so far haven't lost anything

I can sympathise with you on that one Sadgit most of my 2nd sowing have been eaten by either the pigeons ( flying rats ) or the squirrels ( rats with bushy tails ) even after I given em a good dose of chilli/garlic powder mix !
