[Caddi fuller-teabags]

I planted it.  It grew.  It grew even more.  It has loads of really healthy growth but no sigh of any sprouting bits? Am I too early or am i doing something wrong?

I know I planted them too close together - is that it?

It is a bit early. I always plant everything too close together so I sympathise.
I'll sow mine in a couple of weeks and plant them out in the autumn. Last season I had loads and it was lovely.

Normally, you would expect to plant purple sprouting broccoli this year and over-winter it to get a crop next spring (March/April).
There are some summer sprouting varieties, but they are less common.
Suggest you have a look at the seed packet and see what it says. Or as Aunt Sally says, tell us what variety you've planted.

I am not sure what variety I planted - I was given some seedlings which went in about end of May. They are now just under a meter tall with oodles of leaves but no sign of any broccoli. Must be an over winter variety then.
