Title: building a shed or shelter.

i have just got an allotment and would like to build a shelter of some description.

i take my 3 year old daughter with me and i really want somewhere for her to get out of the sun in the summer.

i dont leave any tools at the allotment so it is just shade i want.  

any ideas?

How about a pergola and grow some clematis montana up, it will provide shade in the summer, insects for the birds etc,

That sounds nice richy! or how about a pergola and grow your runner beans over it!!!  More practical!!  Especially if you get the different coloured beans!

My friend if you have made your mind to build a pergola in your garden then plz keep two things in your mind. 1) If your garden is visible from your neighbor’s backyard or living room window, building a pergola makes a much more attractive privacy screen than a fence. 2) An attractive pergola makes a lovely design feature in itself. It can also frame a view to other landscape design features, such as ornaments, garden sculptures, or featured plants.
