Make some holes in the bottom of florists buckets, they are plastic and I haven't got a drill ?   thanks, Mrs Bouquet

Try twisting a sharpened small screwdriver or a scissor blade into the base, or heat them over a cooker and burn the holes.

I usually heat up the end of a screwdriver and poke it through.  :)

As above a heated large nail , old screwdriver or similar .
I use an electric soldering iron.
A melted hole rarely causes a split to form like a drilled hole does.

Get a small sharp knife and use it like a hand drill, pointy end down, push down and twist back and forth.
