Making Changes
« on: August 28, 2020, 11:33 »
Well this was my first year with an Allotment, all the Old Guys tell me to persevere as its been a bad year due to the weather. So this morning I have been re arranging my water Butts and with this weather it wont be long before they are full. I have 5 the size of Wheelie a bin and 4  original Dustbins. So lets jump forward 7/8 months to my crops that are growing well now due to me conserving water, hope I'm right because I am trying hard to get this right. But must admit it wasn't solely down to water, I had Chickens Pigeons and Geese helping them self's to free food, had to wire everything off only to find out Chickens and Pigeons jumped flew in so had to net over the top. Been quite expensive fortifying me gardens but I'm up for a fight. Ill give the Geese a miss on that one. Sorry for the Essay but tried to offer a little insight into new Gardening when you are Green. Cheers Chris.

Pigeons you can net against but who did the geese & chickens belong to? Surely if not yours it’s up to the owners to keep them off your plot?
