My Dad has loads of Apples, and I pop round and pick as many as I want.
I make Apple Crumbles and mixed fruit and apple crumbles (like apple mixed with rhubarb or gooseberries) and freeze them.
Also chop up apples and freeze, have a few ice cream size tubs full of chopped apple in them. Use that for making Apple sauce or in all kinds of cakes and add a handful into curries and stir fries straight from the freezer.
Also make a load of Apple bar muffin squares and freeze. They freeze lovely for the winter as a snack, take only a few hours to thaw nicely.
A bit more complicated, I use either frozen or fresh apple in my Eccles cakes and cake muffins.
Also, make French apple tarts with Fresh apples, not too hard to make and they freeze a treat. Just right for those special occasions.
